Shut it down, boys

Click here for my review of the new Trailer Park Boys fan guide. Yikes. Driving over parking meters to steal the change inside would have been a more dignified cash-grab.

I'm guessing – hoping, really – the people on the show had very little to do with this thing beyond giving the initial go-ahead.

Watching the TPB movie was just painful. I also hope the Show ends before it becomes a parody of itself. It's done good for six seasons, but the ramp above the shark pool is not far down that particular highway...

I'm in the minority on this one, but I actually liked the movie a lot. It had its flaws, but most of those it shared with the show: the second-act slump, the loss of focus, the celebrity cameo.

On the other hand, I think it was admirable of them to make the movie exactly like the show. Plus, I laughed all the way through.

I actually thought Season 4, the one that ended with the armed stand off in the middle of the street, was the shark-jumper, but they seemed to right it after that.
